Star Wars: The Mandalorian Confirms Interesting New Details about Baby Yoda's Species

We're still trying to learn more about the characters that have appeared in Star Wars. For instance, we don't really know much about Baby Yoda although the adorable alien has been one of the main characters in The Mandalorian. Luckily, the latest episode of the Disney+ series has revealed something interesting about the species.

In Chapter Seven: The Reckoning, Mando reconnected with Kuiil after he was contacted by Greef Carga to make a deal. As the group made camp, Kuiil fed Baby Yoda some meat. Greef notices this and remarks that the Child must be a carnivore.

Of course, this isn't the first time that we've seen Baby Yoda eat meat. The Child also devoured a frog in Chapter Two. But does this mean that the species is actually carnivorous?

It's important to remember that Yoda himself was never seen eating meat. In The Empire Strikes Back, Yoda actually made a soup from rootleaf. This could mean that the species is actually omnivorous.

Although this isn't exactly the kind of information that fans are hoping for, it's still interesting to note that we are learning more about Yoda's species. After all, we barely know anything about them other than they are rare, age slowly, and are somehow naturally strong in the Force. Hopefully, we'll get to learn more in the final episode of The Mandalorian.

The Mandalorian Season 1 finale will air on Disney+ on December 27.
