Star Wars: The Bad Batch Episode Count Revealed

The premiere of Star Wars: The Bad Batch is only a day away and there is little doubt that fans are already hyped up for the animated series. But how many episodes will the Clone Wars spin-off have? The episode count for the Disney+ show has been revealed and it looks like we could be looking forward to multiple seasons.

The Bad Batch head writer Jennifer Corbett and supervising director Brad Rau recently spoke to Cnet about the series and they were asked if fans can look forward to seeing several episodes in the first season. Interestingly, Rau revealed the episode count and admitted that they are hoping to work on multiple seasons.

"We have 16 episodes in Season 1," Rau said. "We can't confirm any more than that, but we have high hopes. We love these characters. We'd love to keep telling the stories."

It's great to know that the team is hoping to work on more seasons of The Bad Batch. After all, Clone Force 99 proved to be one of the best things introduced in the final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. In addition to seeing more of Echo in action, we'd love to see the rest of the team take on more missions in the future.

For now, Disney and Lucasfilm have not yet confirmed whether The Bad Batch is a limited series or if we can expect a follow-up to the upcoming season. Nevertheless, we're hoping that the show will get several seasons in the future.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch features the voice of Dee Bradley Baker, who plays all of the members of Clone Force 99. The Mandalorian star Ming-Na Wen will also reprise her role as Fennec Shand in the show. The animated series will premiere on Disney+ on May 4, 2021.
