Star Wars’ Richard E. Grant Says 'Nothing Prepares You for The Rise of Skywalker'

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is making its way to cinemas later this month, and while Star Wars fans can't wait to see how the film concludes the Skywalker saga, Richard E. Grant warns that nothing can prepare the fanbase for Episode IX.

Grant just recently attended an early screening of The Rise of Skywalker this week, and it seems like the movie gave the Star Wars actor a whole lot of feelings.

Taking to Twitter, the Bram Stoker's Dracula star decided to share his reaction to Episode IX, revealing what kind of rollercoaster ride the film had been.

"Just seen Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and nothing prepares you for this. I cheered, I shouted, I fist-pumped the air, I cried, I stood and cheered," the actor said in the video he posted on the social media site. "It's absolutely everything that you hoped it was gonna be. I'm so proud to be in it and I can't wait for you to see it."

That's good to hear. Fans want nothing but the best from The Rise of Skywalker. Not only is the film supposed to close the curtain on Lucasfilm's sequel trilogy, it's also supposed to serve as the culmination of the entire Skywalker saga. That's more than forty years of Star Wars coming to a wrap.

Grant is one of the newer faces in the franchise. A few months ago, fans speculated that the actor would be playing the live-action version of General Thrawn. Now, we know that the Logan star is set to play Allegiant General Pryde, an officer in the ranks of the First Order.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is set to premiere December 20, 2019.
