The Star Wars franchise is finally back on track after years of a stagnant film slate. This year's Star Wars Celebration which emanated from London was home to several surprise announcements, including Daisy Ridley's return in the yet-to-be-titled 2025 film.

As it stands, all we know about the project is that it will take place 15 years after The Rise of Skywalker, with Rey establishing her own Jedi Order. Last week, rumors started swirling online that Mark Hamill and Hayden are set to join the film although Hamill was quick to dismiss his potential involvement.

Now, Star Wars fans are convinced that Adam Driver could also appear in the "New Jedi Order" film in some capacity, especially after seeing the director's latest social media post.

Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, the director of the next Star Wars film is fueling speculation about Driver's potential return to a galaxy far, far away, at least that's what many would like to think.

In her recent Instagram story (via Star Wars Holocron), the Ms. Marvel director offered praise for Driver's 2016 film Paterson. Naturally, it led to fans thinking that the sequel trilogy star will somehow get involved in the "New Jedi Order" project which has been picking up a ton of steam as of late.

As you may know, Kylo Ren died and redeemed himself in Episode IX and while the possibility of him getting resurrected isn't exactly out the window, Ben Solo becoming a Force Ghost is the more logical route for Lucasfilm if they have actual plans of bringing the character back.

Meanwhile, Driver is heavily rumored to have been cast as Reed Richards in Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four, and assuming he lands the part, I don't think he'd be game with the idea of appearing in two mega franchises at the same time but I guess we'll see.

Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy's Star Wars film is expected to hits theaters in December 2025.
