Liam Neeson's tenure in the Star Wars franchise may have been short-lived but that will never erase the fact that his performance as Qui-Gon Jinn was so iconic, so much so that fans have been dying to see him make his return for over 20 years now. For the longest time, it seemingly wasn't possible because it wouldn't have made sense for him to make an appearance post-prequel trilogy but with the standalone Obi-Wan Kenobi series around the corner, most people are under the impression that the Jedi Master's return is upon us.

However, that doesn't seem to be the case. While Liam himself has expressed his desire to make his triumphant return to the franchise, the idea of appearing in a Disney+ series doesn't sound that appealing to him. According to the Hollywood icon, he'd rather be involved in a feature film if there's any chance for a Qui-Gon return.

Speaking with ComicBook, the star of The Phantom Menace said: "Oh, I think so, yeah, yeah, yeah, I think so ... if it was a film. Yeah, I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to TV, I must admit, I just like the big screen, you know?"

Interestingly enough, the upcoming Obi-Wan series wasn't discussed but what if Qui-Gon actually makes an appearance as a Force Ghost? It's worth noting that the show takes place exactly 10 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith and basing it on Star Wars lore, it would make a lot of sense for Qui-Gon to become a Force Ghost during that period.

Speaking of, Obi-Wan Kenobi will premiere its first two episodes on May 27, 2022, exclusively on Disney+.
