Star Wars Legend Mark Hamill Thanks Fans for Passion and Unwavering Loyalty

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker just recently had its big world premiere in Los Angeles this week, and Star Wars legend was there to celebrate the film together with the rest of the film's cast and crew.

Taking to Twitter, Hamill decided to share a few photos from the film's world premiere, taking time to thank Star Wars fans, "the most" important people involved in the Star Wars franchise. Sharing the photos on the social media site, Hamill called fans the "most important element in the Star Wars experience," thanking the fanbase for their support, passion, and unwavering loyalty over the years.

"As the end is just around the corner, I'm thinking of the most important element in the #StarWars experience: the Fans. Their passion, support & unwavering loyalty over the years is astonishing. The Star Wars legend's followers couldn't help but respond to the heartfelt post, expressing their love and gratitude to the man who's been the franchise's ever benevolent Luke Skywalker for more than 40 years.

It's lovely seeing all this positivity over The Rise of Skywalker. The film hasn't even premiered, and yet Star Wars trolls have begun infesting the internet, bombing official promotional tweets and building up on the hashtag saying that Episode IX director J.J. Abrams is over.

We're hoping that all of the negativity leaking online doesn't really affect the film once it finally makes its official premiere this Friday.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits cinemas December 20, 2019.
