Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Coke Bottle Ban Has Been Reversed By TSA

It looks like you might finally be able to take home one of those awesome Coca-Cola bottles from Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has just reversed its ban on the souvenirs from entering American airspace.

The announcement was made by a TSA spokeswoman who gave a statement to CNN. According to the spokeswoman, the TSA has finally come up with a decision about the bottles that resemble thermal detonators.

"We have completed our review, and instructed our officers to treat these as an oversized liquid. Because these bottles contain liquids larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters), they should be put in checked baggage or emptied to be brought on as carry-on item," she said.

This is certainly welcome news for fans who are hoping to bring home a souvenir from Galaxy's Edge. Just remember that you'll need to drink the content before boarding the plane.

The ban was initially started after someone tweeted about the bottles and asked TSA if they could be packed in a suitcase. TSA responded to the tweet by stating that "replica and inert explosives aren't allowed in either carry-on or checked bags." Since then, the TSA has decided to review the issue knowing that several people would be interested in bringing the bottles along as souvenirs from Galaxy's Edge.

There's a good reason why the Coke bottles are turning into the most popular souvenirs from Galaxy's Edge. They are reasonably priced at only $5.49 and you can purchase as much as three at a time.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is now open at Disney World in Orlando.
