Star Wars: The Mandalorian might have enjoyed massive success when it premiered back on Disney+ in November last year, but Jon Favreau's hit Star Wars series isn't without flaws.
Now that Star Wars fans have extra time to themselves locked up at home because of the spread of COVID-19, discussions about The Mandalorian have intensified. One of the most recent discussions revolves around the presence of Stormtroopers.
The Mandalorian is set years after the destruction of the Death Star after the Battle of Endor. Knowing how the series features the Galaxy far, far away after the downfall of the Empire, fans can't help but wonder why there are still so many stormtroopers in the series. How and where does Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) find so many men to capture entire towns?
Taking to Reddit, a Star Wars fan decided to bring up the issue (via Express).
"So the Mandolorian takes place around 9 ABY and the Empire fell about 4 ABY. The First Order formed in 29 ABY," the fan started. "So who does Moff Gideon work for, and why does he have stormtroopers with him if the Empire fell five years before?"
That's a good question. Where does Moff get all his troopers from? Where does he find the resources to fund his army? How exactly does Moff Gideon become a Warlord?
The Mandalorian might not have answers to these questions right now, but we hope that the second season of the series might address these issues.
