Star Wars Episode IX: New Sith Trooper Image Shows Off His Alternate Weapons

Last week Hasbro gave us a look at the new Sith Trooper which will be introduced in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The trooper actually comes with an array of weapons, and we have a new image of the trooper wielding two new ones.

This is just me guessing, but the weapon on the right hand kind of looks like a blade that is very much in line with the ones the Praetorian Guards use. The one on the left hand looks to be an improvement on the trooper riot baton from TFA and TLJ. My guess is that it also projects deadly laser beams just like the executioners' weapon from the last film.

This figure will actually be available for SDCC 2019 which takes place later this year. I guess there's also going to be a more standard release, but it won't come with the specialized packaging. I also imagine it would have less weapons.

We don't know when the next trailer for Star Wars: TROS will drop, but some are positive it will arrive during the D23 Expo this August. Then again, with other material needing their own promotion, fans are crossing their fingers that Lucasfilm drops something big just to get us into the Comic-Con spirit.

The San Diego Comic-Con takes place this coming weekend. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker comes out Dec. 20.
