Star Wars: Disney Allegedly Cancelled Hayden Christensen FanX Panel To Avoid Episode IX Spoilers

There is little doubt that Disney is trying to make sure that there will be no spoiler leaks from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. But is it possible that the House of Mouse actually forced a convention to cancel a panel featuring Hayden Christensen and Ian McDiarmid just to prevent Episode IX spoilers?

The cancellation was confirmed by an attendee who had wanted to attend the Star Wars panel at FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah. In the video, the fan states that the panel that Christensen and McDiarmid were supposed to appear in has been cancelled because Disney will not allow the actors to answer any questions.

But just how serious is Disney about the whole thing? It was revealed that the House of Mouse actually threatened legal action if the panel continues with Christensen and McDiarmid. Unfortunately, the convention was forced to cancel the panel just a few minutes before it was supposed to start.

This is certainly a surprising move for Disney considering that McDiarmid is the only one confirmed to appear in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Although it is possible that Disney was uncertain that McDiarmid will reveal too much about Episode IX, they might also have been worried that Christensen's return will be confirmed at the panel.

It was previously reported that Christensen and McDiarmid had visited a children's hospital prior to their cancelled appearance at FanX. Perhaps we should be talking to those kids in hopes of getting any hints about Darth Vader's return in Episode IX.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters on December 20.
