Star Wars Celebration: Episode IX Section of the Giant Mural Officially Revealed

There's currently a large mural at Star Wars Celebration that has the last bit covered up because it reveals some artwork for Star Wars Episode IX. While some think it will be unveiled after the panel on Friday, they've actually went ahead and gave us a look behind the curtain.

Check it out:

Admittedly, there's nothing too new about the image, and it basically just has the four main actors in their new outfits. There's a lot to draw from this though, like the confirmation of the leaked images, plus some tiny details here and there.

It looks like Rey has fixed the Skywalker lightsaber, and you can see it dangling from her belt. We don't know how she fixed it, but I'm guessing she's going to add some special twist to it (like, I don't know, turning it into a double-bladed lightsaber instead?) You can also seem some red cracks surrounding Kylo's helmet, confirming rumors that he does somehow piece it back together for Episode IX.

While some are reeling from the huge changes that occurred in The Last Jedi, I was actually happy that Rian Johnson gave us a film no one predicted. Hopefully J.J. Abrams follows suit and tries something riskier for the finale of the sequel trilogy.

Star Wars Episode IX comes out Dec. 20, but we should expect our first teaser to come out this Friday along with the panel at Star Wars Celebration.
