Star Wars’ Anthony Daniels Says Fans Should Watch The Entire Saga Before The Rise of Skywalker

There's a lot riding on Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Not only is the film supposed to be the final entry in Lucasfilm's sequel trilogy, but it's also supposed to serve as the very final chapter in the Skywalker saga. Now that The Rise of Skywalker is a few months away from its release, C-3PO actor Anthony Daniels is trying to encourage fans to take one long good look at the entire saga right before the film premieres.

SFX magazine just recently released a brand new video showcasing the long-time Star Wars actor and in the video, Daniels reminds fans about Episode IX.

"There are only two months to go until Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker hits cinemas. The circle is now complete. The saga is almost over and the story just about told," Daniels tells fans in the video.

The Star Wars legend then goes on encouraging fans to rewatch all of the episodes in the saga. According to the actor, fans have to start watching "an episode a week to get ready," before The Rise of Skywalker releases in December. Fans are supposed to start with Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace and then end with Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi.

Watching all eight Skywalker saga movies and the two spinoff films might seem a bit daunting to casual fans of the franchise, but there's still a lot of time before The Rise of Skywalker premieres, so it shouldn't be too bad. Besides, it'd be great to brush up on the franchise before the saga comes to an end.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premieres December 20, 2019.
