William Shatner had a pretty eventful 2021 and the Star Trek icon made headlines for his recent space trip aboard the Blue Origin spacecraft. Now, it looks like the acting legend is ending the year with major trauma following his involvement in a nasty car accident in Los Angeles. TMZ reported yesterday that the 90-year-old actor's car — a Mercedes SUV collided with a sedan resulting in both vehicles sustaining significant cosmetic damage.
Miraculously, despite the evident wreckage, nobody was hurt and photos taken by the entertainment website even show Shatner checking on the other car. Shatner, who is quite the social media savvy didn't address the incident on his official Twitter account but judging by his recent activity, the Captain Kirk actor seems unfazed following the horrific car crash which is quite astonishing, to say the least.

Naturally, the incident caused major panic within the Trek community especially given Shatner's age and physical condition. Things definitely could've gone south but thankfully, all parties involved in the accident were physically unharmed.
On a lighter note, I wonder what's in store for Shatner in 2022 following an epic calendar year? He's turning 91 in a few months and it would be safe to assume that the actor has some surprises up his sleeve. The real question is, will he be able to top his epic space mission? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
