Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 Midseason Trailer Teases a Returning Character

After airing the seventh episode of the fourth season last week, Star Trek: Discovery is currently on a midseason break and it is set to resume by next month to give way for Star Trek: Prodigy to continue its run. Now, as viewers are waiting to see where the season is going to head to, we have our preview on what's going to happen next when the season resumes.

Paramount+ has released the trailer for the second half of the fourth season of Star Trek: Discovery where it picks up from the cliffhanger of the seventh episode in which we see the crew dealing with the Dark Matter Anomaly (DMA) while also tracking down Tarka and Book, who went rogue to attempt to deal the anomaly on their own. You can watch the trailer here:

The midseason trailer also gave us a quick glimpse of the return of Commander Nhan (played by Rachel Ancheril), who we last saw in the fifth episode of the third season where she left the Discovery crew in order to serve as her world's representative and crew the Tikhov. Now, it looks like she is wearing a Starfleet uniform and it remains to be seen how she is going to be involved in the rest of the season.

This news should delight fans who have been looking forward to seeing Commander Nhan return in the series, who surprisingly left the middle of the third season. Now, it looks like she will have an important role in the upcoming episodes given now that she is wearing a Starfleet uniform which hints that she may be in a higher position in Starfleet now. Let's just see in the next episodes what her involvement will be and how they will resolve the anomaly storyline that they've been exploring since the beginning of the season.
