Things are starting to get a lot more exciting, not to mention intriguing as previous episodes of Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 finally saw Michael Burnham's reunion with her old crew who traveled to the 32nd century to rescue their trusty ally. Now, ahead of the fifth episode's premiere this Thursday, new promo images featuring Burnham's anticipated reunion with her crew have been unveiled to get everyone hyped up for the upcoming episode.

Episode 5 will be titled "Die Trying" (press release via Trek Movie) which could mean a lot of things but according to the episode's complete synopsis, the latest Discovery episode will revolve around the crew's attempt to save the future before presumably making their way back to their own time. Read it below:

After reuniting with what remains of Starfleet and the Federation, the U.S.S. Discovery and its crew must prove that a 930-year-old crew and starship are exactly what this new future needs.

Trek Movie has also unearthed several promo images which you can check out here to get the hype and excitement going.

With the crew's current mission seemingly centered on making the year 3188 a better place, there's no doubt that the entirety of Season 3 will still take place in the 32nd century and I guess we'll have to wait a little longer before we see them back in the present time. Again, as I've mentioned before, Discovery's new season is proving to be a promising entry in the Star Trek saga. The third season has become an open canvass of some sort that could help the franchise explore new stories without meddling with its continuity. It's safe to say that this new direction is paying off big time as avid Trekkies are left wanting more after each episode. Let's see what happens next.

Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 is now streaming on CBS All Access.
