We're just a few days away from the premiere of Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 and we already know that Michael Burnham's jump into the year 3188 is going to bumpy one. But what happens after Michael crashes down onto a strange new planet? The first photos from the premiere episode confirm it's going to be a fiery start.
We have previously seen the first few minutes of the first episodeThat Hope Is You, Part 1, which put the focus on new character Book getting a surprise as Michael bursts out of a wormhole in her Red Angel suit and immediately bumps against his ship. This causes the suit to malfunction, forcing Michael to attempt an emergency landing on a nearby planet. But what happens next?
The new photos from the Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 premiere have been released by CBS All Access and it reveals just that. The images show Michael inspecting the fiery debris, screaming out in frustration, and then eventually meeting Book. But we also see what happens beyond the meeting and it looks like we're seeing some familiar faces.
The later pictures confirm the episode will bring in an Andorian as well as a Lurian. We've already seen the Lurian named Morn in Deep Space Nine so this should be an interesting scene.
Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 brings back Sonequa Martin-Green as Michael and will introduce David Ajala as Book. The premiere episode That Hope Is You, Part One will air on CBS All Access on October 15.
