Star Trek 4 Production Start Date Reportedly Revealed

There is little doubt that people are already hyped up for Star Trek 4 now that Paramount Pictures has officially announced their latest project. Not surprisingly, the studio is eager to get started on the film as soon as possible. The production start date for the highly anticipated Star Trek movie may have already been revealed and it's happening pretty soon!

Last week, J.J. Abrams dropped the news during Paramount Investors Day. In his announcement, the filmmaker confirmed that Star Trek 4 will begin production before the end of 2022. Abrams also stated that the Kelvin Timeline cast will return for the still-untitled film.

“We are thrilled to say that we are hard at work on a new Star Trek film that will be shooting by the end of the year that will be featuring our original cast and some new characters that I think are going to be really fun and exciting and help take Star Trek into areas that you’ve just never seen before,” Abrams said.

So when exactly is the Star Trek 4 production start date? Although it has not yet been officially announced, there are speculations that the movie will begin filming as soon as Zoe Saldana is done with her current project. Saldana, who plays the Kelvin Timeline Uhura, is currently working on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe flick is expected to wrap production in April and fans believe Saldana will immediately start working on Star Trek 4 after that. However, it is important to point out that this has not yet been confirmed so it's best to take it with a grain of salt.

Another important point to remember is that the Kelvin Timeline cast was reportedly unaware that they are expected to return for Star Trek 4 this year. With that in mind, there are a lot of schedules that would need to be set first before production can begin.

Star Trek 4 has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
