Squid Game: The Challenge Episode 2 taught players that answering the phone could possibly lead to the contestant responsible getting eliminated – and losing their chance at the eyewatering $4.56 million prize.

Despite that risk, player 198 (Husnain Asif) took his chances, hoping that answering the call would let him choose player 432 (Bryton) to be kicked out of the game.

Upon picking up, though, he won himself a whole fast-food meal tray with a burger and a side of fries – which his jealous and starving competitors pounced on the minute it arrived.

Fans Are Not Cool With Player 097's Actions

One player in particular, player 097 (Jada Sasha), left fans rattled on Twitter.

As seen in the episode The Man with the Umbrella 097 took the burger out of 198's tray and said, "I took that big, fat, juicy burger, and I was feeling great. Top ten meal I've ever had in my life. That's the best burger ever."

What baffled fans was that 097 had supposedly judged player 161 (Lorenzo) for taking two food trays in the previous episode. "Food taking is not cool," Jada said at the time.

Surprisingly, though, 198 didn't seem too bothered by the burger-snatching antics. When asked if he wanted to eliminate 097 for taking his burger, he said he wasn't interested in the food.

If anything, he ultimately wanted to knock 432 off his track, "When I was looking at that food, I was, like, disappointed. Like, I know it was good, and it was, like, nice, but I wanted to eliminate 432," Asif said.

Squid Game: The Challenge started out with 456 players and, as of the end of episode five, 63 of them are still in the game. However, player 198 – Asif, who had his burger taken – was eliminated in Episode 2 for picking up the phone twice and failing the second game.

198 did get his wish though. Player 432 eventually lost the game in the Warships test when his boat sank along with his teammates. 097's fate, on the other hand, remains to be seen.

Netflix has only released the first five episodes of Squid Game: The Challenge, with the next four episodes premiering on November 29th, while the finale episode streams on December 6th.
