If there's one thing that Geek Culture fans have in common, it's that we're all susceptible to the allure of a childlike character. Cuteness is something that’s hard to resist, especially if it reminds you of another adorable character. Have you noticed it too? Spy x Family’s Anya is just like Star Wars' Baby Yoda.

According to Anime News Network, the Spy x Family panel at Anime NYC featured an interesting Star Wars reference from George Wada, the executive producer of the popular manga-anime.

During the panel, the producer was asked what makes Anya so appealing to many viewers. He made an interesting comparison where he said that it might have to do with the fact that she looks very similar to baby Yoda.

In Spy x Family’s episode 5, the irresistible Anya begged her father to let her dress up as Bondman from her favorite TV show, Spy Wars. This isn't the first time in which Star Wars and the anime genre had a crossover.

Fans saw the similarities between the abilities that both Anya and Baby Yoda possess: telekinesis; not to mention that they have both grown accustomed to their companions at the time. Baby Yoda is with The Mandalorian, and Anya is with Loid.

Baby Yoda, also known as Grogu, rose to fame when he appeared in the Disney+ television series The Mandalorian, set in the Star Wars film universe.

It was scientifically and psychologically proven that Baby Yoda is a charming character, given his baby-like attitude. Joshua Klapow, PhD, a clinical psychologist, told Bustle, “Any features that remind us of infants or babies will draw us in. It is our natural parental instincts to protect or at least feel connected to babies,”

Similarly, Anya has her childish antics while concealing her complicated depth in goofiness. This little pink-haired kid did not just steal the show; she became the entire show.

New episodes of Spy x Family debut every Saturday, airing first in Japan and then on Netflix.
