The Marvel Cinematic Universe has long teased the concept of the multiverse but it wasn't until 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home that fans truly got their first taste of it when J.K. Simmons' iconic Spider-Man character J. Jonah Jameson appeared out of nowhere exposing Peter Parker's identity as the crime-stopping web-slinger. Of course, we're still not quite sure if he's in fact the same JJJ who appeared in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy but it's safe to assume that he's in fact from another dimension.

While there hasn't been any confirmation if the actor would be returning for Spider-Man: No Way Home or not, considering he was part of the grand reveal during Far From Home's jaw-dropping mid-credit scene, the chances of him reappearing in the upcoming Phase 4 film are extremely high.

Now, Simmons is opening up about the possibilities of his iconic character coming back as Peter Parker's egomaniac boss from the Daily Bugle. In an interview with ComicBook, J.K. teased fans about his involvement in the project, saying: "I never know what I'm allowed to talk about or not, but I'm pretty sure people know that I might be showing up in Spider-Man land again."

With the Sinister Six heavily rumored to make their MCU debut in No Way Home, what are the odds of Jameson actually being revealed as the one responsible for forming the supervillain team? I'd totally love for Marvel Studios and Sony to draw some inspiration from the Spider-Man: Animated Series and have it all play out on the big screen. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Spider-Man: No Way Home hits cinemas in December.
