Spider-Man: Far From Home Is Summer’s Most Highly Anticipated Blockbuster

Now that Avengers: Endgame's finally made its premiere, Marvel fans are starting to look forward to the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Set to release in June this year, the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel has become the most highly-anticipated summer blockbuster. According to a report by Yahoo Entertainment, Fandango just recently sent out a poll to more than 2000 moviegoers asking them to take the site's "Most Anticipated Summer Movie Survey" hoping that they can discover "what fans are most excited to spend their money on at the box office from Memorial Day to Labor Day."

There were a lot of films put on Fandango's list. This included Godzilla: King of Monsters, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, The Lion King, Toy Story 4, and Spider-Man: Far From Home. The crown went to Marvel's last entry for the year, the Homecoming sequel.

After the Homecoming sequel comes Rocketman, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, The Lion King, Toy Story 4, Men in Black: International, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Aladdin, and then The Secret Life of Pets 2.

Far From Home's win barely comes as a surprise. Tom Holland's Spider-Man has been a fan-favorite ever since his first appearance in Captain America: Civil War. His popularity was further cemented when he had his first standalone film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Not only that, but fans are also looking forward to seeing the very first Marvel film after Avengers: Endgame. Who knows what kind of cameos we'll be getting in the film.

Avengers: Endgame is currently screening in cinemas.
