Spider-Man: Far From Home Has a Surprising Captain Marvel Connection (SPOILERS)

Spider-Man: Far From Home was obviously going to tie-in to Avengers: Endgame heavily. After all, Kevin Feige and every trailer after the first pretty much revealed that Far From Home would be an epilogue to Endgame and the entire Infinity Saga aka all the other MCU films that have come out in the past decade.

One film fans didn't expect Far From Home to tie-in to was Captain Marvel but the two MCU installments actually have a big connection. This is a spoiler covering the film's second post-credit scene so if you haven't seen the movie yet, avoid this at all costs. Unless you think spoilers enhance the movie experience of course.

Are you all still here? Okay then…

Nick Fury and Maria Hill are not who they appear to be. While we all assumed that they would be Chameleon or some other character, it turns out they are Talos and his Skrull wife from Captain Marvel. Yup, Fury and Hill were Skrulls this whole time but only in this movie.

During the second post-credit sequence, Talos and his wife argue over some of the decisions they made while in their shape-shifted forms. In the end, Talos contacts the real Nick Fury, telling him that they delivered Tony Stark's glasses to him. Turns out that Fury has been on vacation and is chilling with a ton of Skrulls, which appears to be the seeds for SWORD (Sentient World Observation and Response Department).

Sorry guys, no Secret Invasion tease. Not yet anyway.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is now showing in theatres.
