Spider-Man Fans Have Renewed Hope For Live-Action Spider-Verse Film

Following the stunning news that Jamie Foxx is bound to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Max Dillon aka Electro, avid fans of the Spider-Man franchise have renewed hope with regard to the possibility of Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire all coming together for a live-action Spider-Verse film which is arguably the most epic and ambitious Marvel film crossover yet.

The crossover idea, which could potentially see all three Peter Parkers in one project has long been contemplated by avid fans of the web-slinging superhero. In fact, ever since Tom Holland's debut in the MCU, people have actually entertained the idea and that's long before the Multiverse plans have been laid out by Marvel Studios. Sony's 2018 blockbuster Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse only increased fans' desire for the dream crossover to happen.

Now, people are taking to Twitter to share their elation about Jamie Foxx's reentry and the possibility of a Spider-Verse film somewhere down the line. See some of the reactions below:

I sure hope this ambitious project actually comes to fruition in the near future because if not, quite frankly, it could go down as the biggest missed opportunity in superhero film history and a major what-if story, too. Heck, even just a cameo appearance from Maguire and Garfield will be more than enough for me. But that's not to say that I'd be against the idea of them sharing equal screen time with Holland and going full-blown Spider-Verse because that would be totally splendid and I'm not just speaking for myself. I'm keeping my fingers crossed big time!

Meanwhile, Spider-Man 3 is scheduled to begin production soon.
