A lot of fans are looking forward to Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One), the follow-up to the acclaimed 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse which will follow Miles Morales' next multiversal adventure throughout the Spider-Verse. The exact plot details are still unknown, but we do know that it's going to have the same innovative animation style as the first film.
In an interview with IndieWire, Phil Lord, one of the writers and producers of the film, briefly discussed the work that they had so far in which he made a bold statement about how the animation will be pushed even further. He said, "It’s been fun to have the confidence to go even harder and push the medium even further and take Miles [Morales] to places you couldn’t imagine."
While Lord's quote might not be significant for some, but it does tell us that they are going to push the animation style even further which would lead to a more creative endeavor for them that might surpass the level of the first film.
Into the Spider-Verse was praised for its inventive animation style in which they made it look like that a comic book actually came to life and they used it to creatively tell the multiverse story with the different versions of Spider-Man involved.
If they are going to push the animation even further, what does it mean about the plot of the film? We do know based on the first trailer that Miles will be going to different universes and it sounds like we're going to witness different animation styles as they go through each universe. With the film set to be released later this year, we should be able to find out more details about it soon.
