Song Joong Ki would not return for another K-drama yet but he is set to lead the upcoming 26^th Busan International Festival. The former husband of Song Hye Kyo was confirmed to be hosting the opening ceremony of the prestigious ceremony.

Song Joong Ki To Reunite With Park So Dam In 26^th Busan International Festival

It was reported, on Thursday, that Song Joong Ki was tapped to become one of the masters of ceremony in the imminent 26^th Busan International Festival. The Descendants of the Sun actor will not be hosting it alone as Record of Youth actress Park So Dam will be joining him as a co-host.

The 26^th Busan International Festival opening ceremony is set to happen on Oct. 6. It will be held for a total of 10 days until Oct. 15.

It comes as no surprise that Song Joong Ki and Park So Dam were selected to host the opening ceremony as they are considered two of the most sought-after South Korean stars today.

Song Joong Ki secured his position as a top actor after he starred in numerous successful K-drama series such as Sungkyunkwan Scandal, A Werewolf Boy, The Innocent Man, Arthdal Chronicles, Vincenzo and Descendants of the Sun, where he starred alongside his ex-wife, Song Hye Kyo.

Park So Dam, on the other hand, also impressed numerous fans because of her exemplary acting skills since she debuted in 2013. Among the most remarkable projects that the co-host of Song Joong Ki had ever been a part of were The Priests, Cinderella and Four Knights, A Beautiful Mind, Record of Youth and the Oscar-winning movie Parasite.

Song Joong Ki Sacrifices Part Of His Property In Itaewon For His Neighbors

Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki made headlines in July due to his conflict with his neighbors in Itaewon, Seoul City, South Korea. Reports have it that the residents living near the Descendants of the Sun actor's property filed a complaint after a public road bordering Joong Ki's home was repaved.

Because of that, the road was elevated and became too narrow to navigate. The talent management agency of Song Joong Ki, HISTORY D&C, had stated that they were looking into the matter at the time and that they were doing their best to resolve the issues the soonest time possible.

Weeks after the news broke, it was reported that Song Joong Ki ended up sacrificing part of his land to the government for road widening. Reports claimed that the former husband of Song Hye Kyo offered approximately 1,500 square feet of his 9,000 square feet property.
