New Solo Leveling Trailer Confirms Anime Release Date

The new trailer for Solo Leveling was shared by the anime's official Twitter account. It features Jinwoo Sung as the weakest E-rank hunter, still looking like an average guy with less-than-average physical attributes. However, that all changes when Jinwoo is "reawakened" and becomes a powerful "Player." Watch the video below.

The new key visual for Solo Leveling has also been shared.

The official synopsis for Solo Leveling reads as follows:

"It's been over a decade since the sudden appearance of the 'gates'—the paths that connect our world with a different dimension. Since then, certain humans have awakened to supernatural powers. We call these individuals 'hunters.' Hunters make their living by using their powers to conquer dungeons inside the gates.

"In this world of tough customers, the low-ranked hunter Jinwoo Sung is known as 'the weakest hunter of all mankind.' One day, Jinwoo gets fatally injured when he runs into high-rank double dungeons hidden within a low-rank dungeon. Just then, a mysterious quest window appears in front of him. On the verge of death, Jinwoo decides to accept the quest and starts leveling up... while the others aren't."

Solo Leveling was written by Chugong and was serialized in KakaoPage. There is a webtoon adaptation that was illustrated by Redice Studio's Jang-Sung-Rak aka Dubu and ran from March to August 2020.

The anime series will be produced by A-1 Pictures and directed by Shunsuke Nakashige while Noboru Kimura serves as the head writer. Alice in Borderland's Tomoko Sudo will design the characters, and Hiroyuki Sawano is composing the music.

Solo Leveling is set to premiere in Winter 2024. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
