There is little doubt that some of the stars of Smallville have almost been recruited by their own co-star Allison Mack into NXIVM. However, for Alaina Huffman, she was also approached by a Star Wars actress to join the alleged sex cult.
Huffman, who appeared in Smallville as Dinah Lance aka Black Canary, spoke to Page Six about her encounters with Mack. Interestingly, the Painkiller Jane star pointed out that she was initially intrigued by Mack's success.
"As a young woman, 27, 28, on Smallville, Ally was a couple of years younger than me and here she was flourishing, very well put together, a really peppy and independent woman," Huffman said. She then added that her co-star kept asking her to attend certain events.
"She invited me a few times to some of these events and for whatever reason, I never made it, maybe because I was married and had kids and I might have had something else that grounded more than I needed that kind of grounding, but I can understand the appeal," Huffman said.
Amazingly, Mack's fellow NXIVM member Bonnie Piesse also tried to recruit Huffman.
"We went out for dinner and she was like, 'Oh, you've got to come to this group,'" Huffman said of the Star Wars actress. "I said, 'Oh yeah, I know it from Ally.'"
Piesse is best known for playing the young Beru Lars in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Like Mack, she appears in The Vow, an HBO documentary series about NXIVM.
