Former SISTAR main vocalist Hyolyn tested positive for COVID-19. On a recent report by Bridge Entertainment, Hyolyn has been in close contact with a COVID-19 confirmed patient on January 25 while waiting for the recording of KBS 2TV’s program Yoo Heeyeol’s Sketchbook.

According to the solo artist’s agency, “Hyolyn has immediately halted all schedules and has conducted a PCR test.

Since then, the COVID-19 test results have been confirmed positive on January 26. As a preemptive safety measure, all staff members were also tested for the virus and received negative results.”

Here is the official statement released by Bridge Entertainment regarding the issue.

Hello. This is Bridge Entertainment.
On January 25, while waiting for the recording of KBS 2TV’s “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook,” Hyolyn was notified that she came in close contact with a COVID-19 confirmed patient on her current show “Double Trouble.” As soon as the news was relayed to her, she immediately halted all her schedules and underwent PCR testing.
On January 26, Hyolyn was confirmed positive for COVID-19, and all the staff members who were with her tested negative. Accordingly, she canceled all her scheduled activities and is taking necessary measures in accordance with the guidelines of the quarantine authorities.
Hyolyn had completed the second round of her COVID-19 vaccination, but the test still confirmed her positive for the virus. Before recording “Double Trouble” conducted last Sunday, she participated with a negative result after doing a self-diagnosis test. She also tested negative before “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook” when she used a self-diagnosis kit in her vehicle. But while waiting for the recording to begin, she was advised that she came in close contact with a COVID-19 patient and immediately stopped her schedule.
The entertainment company will thoroughly comply with the guidelines of the quarantine authorities, and we will continue to do our best for the health and safety of our artists. In addition, we would like to apologize for the concern this has caused the fans and the general public. Hyolyn will make sure to recover as soon as possible and greet you in a healthy state.
Thank you.
