Following the success of Physical: 100, Netflix is set to introduce another entertaining reality show, Siren: Survive the Island.

Apart from exciting new K-dramas airing this May 2023, the streaming giant will showcase a team battle survival entertainment show featuring an all women contestant.

What is Siren: Survive the Island?

Netflix continues to deliver a variety of genres, from rom-com K-dramas, dating reality programs to survival shows.

Interestingly, the upcoming Siren: Survive the Island will feature a unique take on survival reality programs.

The show will feature 24 exceptionally strong women who are equipped with remarkable combat skills. They are divided into six groups, according to their professions.

In Siren: Survive the Island, viewers will get to see an intense battle on a remote island as these groups aim to survive each stage. It’s basically Single’s Inferno and Physical: 100 rolled into one show.

According to reports, the cast of the upcoming Netflix reality survival show consists of firefighters, police officers, military personnel, athletes, stuntmen, and more.

As for the location, if being on a deserted island is not enough, the participants will have to cover their bases, which include floating houses, tents, and mountain huts.

Moreover, the cast of Siren: Survive the Island needs to be self-sufficient for 7 days and 6 nights while on the remote island.

Siren: Survive the Island Release Date

On May 4, Netflix dropped updates regarding the highly anticipated reality show. 

The streaming giant announced the official release date of Siren: Survive the Island, which is set to hit the small screens on May 30, 2023.

Over in the comment sections, fans can’t help but feel excited about the forthcoming premiere of the new reality survival show and are looking forward to the intense battle between women.

In addition, the show, with a total of 10 episodes for the whole season run, will be divided into the first and second parts, with each part having five episodes.

Directed by Lee Eun Kyung, Siren: Survive the Island will exclusively air on Netflix.
