It looks like fans are not the only ones who are eager to see more of the Avengers. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star Simu Liu has just admitted that he is already hoping for Avengers 5 and that it should be one of Marvel Studios' next big projects.
The Avengers films have been massive since they all boast of an ensemble cast. In addition to that, the members of the superhero team are huge A-listers which means these movies needed proper scheduling and a hefty budget.
But can we expect another Avengers flick? Liu certainly hopes so and the Shang-Chi star believes that Avengers 5 should be happening soon.
"In terms of what's next, I know what's on my mind is the same as what's on everybody else's mind, and hopefully, there's an Avengers in the future, somewhere," Liu told The Hollywood Reporter. He quickly added that this is not something he knows for a fact but it is what he wants as a fan.
"Obviously, I don't know anything about that, but being such a big fan of the whole franchise, I know that that's the gold star. All of the media frenzy that surrounds one of those properties is going to be a whole beast unto itself, so it's certainly what I hope for. Do I know how to prepare for it? Absolutely not," Liu said.
We agree with Liu that Avengers 5 is something that Marvel Studios should work on in the future. However, the next movie is also expected to introduce new team members. Still, this is all an exciting idea and we can't wait to get an update on the sequel.
Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings will premiere on September 3, 2021.
