Fantasy fans are in for a treat in summer 2024 as there are a lot of shows in the genre that will premiere. Among these is Shinmai Ossan Bokesnha which recently confirmed its July release date.

The show’s release date was revealed in a new trailer that featured lots of new clips that highlight the anime’s main cast along with its opening songs.

Shinmai Ossan Bokensha Release Date Confirmed

Shinmai Ossan Bokensha is a fantasy adventure anime that’s based on an ongoing light novel series of the same name by Kiraku Kishima.

The anime adaptation was announced back in March 2023, though it is only now that the anime confirmed its July 2 release date.

Its release date was highlighted alongside its theme songs in the new trailer. The show’s opening theme is titled Arano ni Sake yo Bokensha-tachi (Bloom in the Wasteland O Adventurers) by Akira Kushida, the singer of Dragon Ball Super’s Episode 110 insert song.

Meanwhile, the anime’s ending is titled Sagashimono (or Looking for Something) by Chiai Fujikawa. She is the singer of The Rising of the Shield Hero’s first ending theme.

Is Shinmai Ossan Bokensha Coming to Crunchyroll? Where to Watch This Fantasy Anime

In Japan, this fantasy anime will air on TV Tokyo, MBS, and BS TV Tokyo, though there’s no word yet on a streaming platform partner outside Japan.

As is the case with most seasonal, anime it’s likely that Shinmai Ossan Bokensha will be streamed on Crunchyroll or HIDIVE.

What is confirmed is that the anime’s streaming rights in Southeast and South Asia are owned by Muse Communication.

Shinmai Ossan Bokensha’s Story Follows a 30-year-old Protagonist

Even though it’s based on a light novel series, this anime isn’t an isekai. Instead, it’s an adventure anime that follows Rick Gladiatol, a guild clerk who became an adventurer.

Despite starting his adventuring days at over 30 years old, Rick proved that even middle-aged guys can become an S-rank adventurer.
