She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man is a light novel that was serialized in 2012 on Shosetsuka ni Naro, a user-generated novel publishing website. In 2014, it was acquired by Micro Magazine and released under GC Novels imprint. In November 2020, fourteen volumes have been published.
Dicca Suemitsu decided to adapt the novel into a manga and released it on Micro Magazine’s Comic Ride website. Fans can collect all seven tankobon volumes as of October 2020. Seven Seas Entertainment acquired the license of both manga and light novel to release it in North America. With the success of She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man, Studio A-Cat decided to adapt it into an anime.

The anime can be watched on different channels, including Tokyo MX. However, for those who cannot access those channels, they would have to turn to Funimation. The streaming site will not only release the series but also co-produce it.
Those who are new to the site can check out the free trial period that Funimation offers. This will let non-members stream their preferred anime for free. After that, interested viewers must register to continue watching and pay $5.99 per month or $59.99 per year. She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man will center on Sakimori Kagami. He loves playing Arch Earth Online and uses the character named Dunbalf, an old male sorcerer. As he was adjusting his character, he was sucked into the game world and was surprisingly inside Dunbalf’s body. Instead of having a male old man’s body, he is inside a young woman’s body. Since no one would believe that Dunbalf’s physique has changed, Kagami decided to convince people that he is a pupil of Dunbalf.
