Shazam 2 has been one of the most awaited DCEU films this year. Although updates have been scarce for quite some time, a new set video was released recently. The clip featured Zachary Levi's newest costume.
The new look does not stray away from the original costume; the difference is very subtle. In Shazam! Fury Of The Gods, the titular superhero will wear a more subdued version of Shazam's iconic thunderbolt logo, and the cape looks like it has become a tad bit smaller compared to the first film. Shazam! Fury Of The Gods will see Levi return to reprise his role alongside other original cast members, such as Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Djimon Hnosou, Faithe Herman, Grace Fulton, Ian Chen and many more. Other new cast members announced are Helen Mirren, Lucy Liu, and Rachel Zegler, who will play as Atlas' daughters -- Hespera, Kalypso, and an unnamed third daughter.
As of now, there are still few details about the official storyline of the upcoming Shazam! Fury Of The Gods movie. The DCEU has kept information under wraps, and fans are dying to know what it is.
As far as we know, there will be a storyline between Zegler and Freeman, but nothing more. From the looks of it, Shazam may be battling the three sisters in Shazam! Fury Of The Gods.
Shazam! Fury Of The GodsRelease Date Details
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions in the past year, the filming of Shazam! Fury Of The Gods was delayed. The production team wanted to finish by May. However, they failed to hit the target date and completed it in August instead.
It was previously announced that the release date of Shazam! Fury Of The Gods would be April 1, 2022. But, this was moved to June 2, 2023. In other words, the waiting game is still far from over, and fans hope that all the waiting will be worth it!
