We already know that Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings will feature some mystical creatures connected to the character's ancient myths. So far, we've seen a huge underwater dragon and a great lion that joins a battle. However, the latest teaser for the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe flick may have revealed a new creature and this one goes up against Death Dealer.
The new teaser titled Next Level features some awesome new footage including Shang-Chi going up against an unseen foe (possibly his own father Wenwu) and an interesting revelation from Jiang Nan (Michelle Yeoh). In one scene, Jiang Nan tells Simu Liu's character that the Ten Rings "are stronger than anything in your universe."
Amidst all the new footage, we get to see Jiang Nan and Florian Munteanu's Razor Fist watching in surprise as Death Dealer is captured by something with tentacles and is forcing strange light into his mouth.
It is unclear what the creature is but there is a possibility that it is gigantic. However, there are also speculations that it isn't exactly a new one and might be The Great Protector using its whiskers to disarm Death Dealer.
It's also interesting to note that the scene features three characters who are going up against each other. Jiang Nan is clearly on Shang-Chi's side while Death Dealer works for Wenwu. In turn, Razor Fist had been sent to assassinate Shang-Chi so we are curious about what's happening in the sequence.
Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings will premiere in theaters on September 3, 2021.
