There is little doubt that fans were delighted to see the return of the Abomination in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. However, Tim Roth was actually unsure about coming back as Emil Blonsky for the film as well as the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe series She-Hulk.

But what made Roth change his mind about returning as Hulk's adversary? Interestingly, it was his new co-star Mark Ruffalo.

Roth recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter where he opened up about taking the role of Abomination.

"I did The Incredible Hulk years ago, just because I thought my kids would be embarrassed by it. I did it for them and I really enjoyed making it," Roth said. "So when they came to me and said: 'We're adapting the She-Hulk thing. Can you come back as that character again?' I was like, sure. It should be fun."

He then continued by pointing out he was very confused about the whole motion capture thing until he started working with Ruffalo.

"I was very surprised though because it was difficult at first," Roth said. "It was only when Mark Ruffalo came in to shoot his stuff that I went: 'Oh, that's how you do it! With a sense of humor!'"

It's great to know that Ruffalo was able to help ease Roth's uncertainly about motion capture. After all, it was important that the Pulp Fiction star would learn how to deal with the new aspects of filmmaking. Needless to say, we can't wait to see more of Abomination next year.

She-Hulk will also star Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters, Ginger Gonzaga, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Jameela Jamil. The series has not yet been given an official release date but is expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2022.
