Amid the coronavirus pandemic, production for Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has been halted and its release date was delayed as well. Fans have been waiting to get a first look at Simu Liu's character even prior to the production shutdown. Well, that's what the actor exactly did, but for an entirely different superhero.
Taking to Twitter, Liu trolled his fans by posting a photo, along with the captions of it being a suit reveal. Liu hilariously wrote that the image even gave him chills. However, instead of his Shang-Chi costume, the actor shared an edited photo of him as DC's Green Lantern. You can check it out below!
Though it's not his costume as the Marvel superhero, fans, who at some point, wondered what Liu would look like in a Green Lantern suit has their question answered. Of course, as with any other Marvel film, details about it are mostly kept under wraps. While it's not his suit for the film, it could be considered for some as a treat, since there wouldn't be much updates to be revealed about the Shang-Chi movie amid the coronavirus pandemic.
It's unclear as to why he decided to share the photo of him as Green Lantern, but it might be an homage to Ryan Reynolds, who played the character back in 2011. Reynolds is known for often trolling with his fans and even his co-stars, so it's a pretty good choice for a hilarious post.
For now, it's unclear when the production for the film will resume but Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' release date has already been pushed from February 12 to May 7, 2021.
