Actor Simu Liu is living the dream of every kid and kid-at-heart who have dreamt of becoming a superhero and after years of manifesting and trying to get under Marvel Studios' skin, he is rewarded with a huge project for his grand Marvel Cinematic Universe debut. Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings is set for premiere this week but early reviews are already calling it one of the best Phase Four offerings.
Obviously, Liu has been working extra hard to prove to the entire MCU fandom that he's ready, willing, and very much worthy of becoming the franchise's first Asian superhero. Turns out, Liu really takes his role very seriously, so much so that he goes out of his way to experience the on-set action himself.
Ahead of Shang-Chi's theatrical release, the Canadian actor took to social media to share the lengths he went through for the project. Apparently, Simu made it a point to do all of his stunts as much as possible and it totally makes his action sequences authentic. On Twitter, the MCU newcomer posted a video of himself performing an impressive stunt without the help of visual effects. It's pretty darn impressive. Check it out here:

Pressure is definitely starting to kick in for Liu but the sky is the limit for him. So far, things are looking incredibly great for the Master of Kung-Fu ahead of his grand MCU debut and it wouldn't be too farfetched to actually think that he'll be one of the main players in the franchise moving forward. Honestly, I know very little about the character but I'm totally excited to see what he brings to the table.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings premieres in cinemas this Friday, September 3, 2021.
