Shang-Chi Star Simu Liu Admits MCU Fame Drove Him to Seek Mental Health Treatment

There's no denying that Simu Liu's involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe changed his personal and professional life drastically and while a lot of people may think that being an A-list celebrity is all rainbows and butterflies, the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star recently opened up about something most actors in Hollywood have a hard time coming to terms with and that is the state of their mental health.

Last week, the Canadian actor took to Twitter to reveal that he's seeking professional help for his "problems". He didn't exactly specify what he's been going through but in a recent Instagram post, Simu Revealed that his newfound fame has become detrimental to his mental health.

To celebrate the anniversary of Shang-Chi's release, Liu shared a heartfelt post on the photo-sharing platform, admitting that he wasn't ready for what fame had in store for him. He also said that he wants to prioritize his mental well-being to become "something more than a superhero". Check out his emotionally charged post below:
