The Attack on Titan chair Secretlab sent me for review was plastered head-to-toe in Neo Hybrid Leatherette, the blend of resin laminate and polyurethane-microfibre, which is much better than your average PU leather or even even the Prime 2.0 material Secretlab previously used. The leatherette fabric feels amazing as it looks, and Secretlab even includes leather wipes - Attack on Titan Edition with the chair to give you what you need to take care of its premium leatherette.
The Luxurious Comfort of the Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 Chairs
The adjustable lumbar support is one of the best features of the Titan Evo chairs. By using the two dials on the side of the chair, you can extend and restract an internal support both up and down and in and out, so it's a pretty neat system. You can adjust the Titan Evo's lumbar support while sitting on it.
The Titan Evo 2022's head cushion is a great upgrade because it's magnetic. To attach the head cushion, you just have to place it onto the top of the chair and thanks to the magnets, it sticks there. However, the magnets are not as strong as I expected because the cushion often drops without me realizing while in the midst of a competitive VALORANT match, but nonetheless still a great upgrade from the fiddly straps.
The covers for the hinges on the side and arm rests of the Titan Evo 2022 are also magnatic, so it's easy to install them. The armrests also delivers full 4D movement with Secretlab's new chair, so that means, it can move forwards, backwards, up, down, rotate, and side-to-side. The chair I received doesn't have cushions on the armrests, but the surfaces feel comfortably smooth.
The recline moves well with no issues, and the hydraulics maintain a smooth action all the way down. You can use the tension adjustment for the lean function, which lets you adjust the recline that much further as you rest back into the chair.
The Look of the Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 - Attack on Titan Edition
Instead of featuring the dark themes of the massively popular series, the Attack on Titan chair's look incorporates the iconic design of the Survey Corps' uniforms: a white base is flanked on both sides by a soft khaki-colored suede inspired by the military force's jackets, while dark brown leather bands reflect the look of the harnesses that secure the "elite" soldiers' 3D maneuvering gear.
The rear of the backrest features deep forest green that reminds us of the heroes' trademark capes. Both sides feature the Wings of Freedom insignia, the white and blue wings in a grey and white shield logo of the Survey Corps. It's aethetically simple, so even though it doesn't feature Eren Yeager or any familiar characters and Titans, it's a great homage to the heroes who are constantly in direct confrontation with the Titans.
