Secret Invasion finally concluded and it's already safe to say that fans had mixed feelings about the finale. It no longer comes as a surprise though since the Phase Five series has been quite divisive since the beginning.
While Episode 6 turned the dial up to 11 with the action and intensity Marvel Cinematic Universe fans have grown accustomed to, many thought the finale fell flat simply because it didn't feature the cameo appearances they were expecting to see.
Secret Invasion Finale Doesn't Include Cameos Fans Were Hoping to See and They're Naturally Pissed
Before Secret Invasion premiered, there have been persistent rumors that the Samuel L. Jackson-led series will include several cameos but apparently, there's zero truth to the reports that circulated online.
One rumor claims that Daisy Johnson aka Quake is finally making her MCU crossover in the show and while actress Chloe Bennet has gone on record to dismiss her involvement, fans weren't exactly convinced and thought she was just trying to play coy.
Another cameo fans thought would happen was Captain Marvel's but unfortunately, the cosmic hero played by Brie Larson was nowhere to be found despite the show dropping several references about her.

It sure was a missed opportunity on Marvel Studios' part not to include Quake in the series, especially with the nonparticipation of the Avengers but I guess it only goes to show that fans should always temper their expectations.
Hopefully, there's still room for Bennet in the MCU because she was fantastic in Agents of SHIELD.
