It has become increasingly obvious that Scream VI (2023) is just around the corner. Following the official trailer which was released a few weeks ago, TV spots and other shorts have flooded YouTube.

The film has also enjoyed a lot in the way of viral marketing, with the official Scream Twitter account sharing everything from Ghostface-shaped New York City Subway maps riddled with clues to cryptic crossword puzzles.

Now, it has been confirmed that the film will be released a little earlier on one side of the Atlantic than previously planned, having already been brought forward from a late March release to March 10.

While the March 10 release date will remain the same for the US, Scream VI will now be released two days earlier in the UK on March 8, meaning fans of the franchise excited to see the sixth installment will be able to watch it sooner.

It's not a big difference, but fans on the other side of the pond might wish to steer clear of YouTube for a couple of days until they get their chance to see the film. Probably a good idea to avoid spoilers for a Scream movie anyway.

Which brings us onto the next topic of the film's marketing - for a whodunit slasher, Scream VI certainly doesn't seem all that concerned with giving away spoilers, what with all the countless TV spots now out in the ether.

With that in mind, whether you're in the UK or the US, it's probably wise to watch the film as soon as possible, and in the meantime, avoid all things spoiler-y.
