There have been several film trilogies since the inception of the Marvel Cinematic Univers in 2008 but I think we can all agree that none of them has been more cohesive and consistent than the Spider-Man trilogy. However, the first film Spider-Man: Homecoming has left a few questions unanswered with regard to Spidey's villains who were imprisoned after his heated encounter with Vulture.

Michael Keaton's menacing character Michael Toomes has since resurfaced during Morbius' head-scratching post-credits, but we've yet to see some of his "former" allies return to the franchise. One of which is Mac Gargan aka the Scorpion whose first and only appearance came in the 2017 flick.

If you may recall, Gargan, played by Michael Mando made brief appearances in the film, including the post-credit scene which pretty much teased that he's the next big bad Peter Parker has to face. Obviously, that didn't happen and the follow-up film would ultimately feature Mysterio as the main antagonist.

Since Homecoming, a lot has happened in the MCU and fans are growing extremely frustrated over the mishandling of Scorpion. Well, it turns out that Mando himself agrees with the fandom's sentiments.

Taking to his Twitter account, the Better Call Saul actor reposted a tweet from a fan questioning how Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have done nothing with his villain. He would later chime into the conversation and expressed his gratitude to the fandom.

Of course, there's still a chance that Gargan could pop up in Spider-Man 4 but it's also worth noting that the symbiote has finally made its way to Earth-616 and the most logical choice as the film's villain would be Venom.

On the other hand, there have been several hints about Ned Leeds finally transforming into Hobgoblin, and frankly speaking, he's a much more formidable foe than Scorpion. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Spider-Man 4 is currently in development.
