Scarlett Johansson hinted at plans to get back at Michael Che during her next Saturday Night Live hosting gig.

Last December, a vulgar joke about Johansson during the Weekend Update segment of Saturday Night Live went viral. What made it more significant is that it was read by her husband, Colin Jost, based on what Che wrote for him as part of their year-end joke exchange tradition.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Johansson recalled her reactions when she saw Jost reading a vulgar joke about her during the Weekend Update segment of Saturday Night Live last December.

"I had all these cameras on me. I didn’t expect the setup to be like that. I was like, ‘Wow, you really are seventh-, eighth-grade boys,’" she said.

The actress also teased that she is planning to have a payback against Che, who wrote the vulgar joke, when she hosts the upcoming episode this weekend.

"I feel like it’s almost my responsibility to come up with some way to burn Michael back. Retaliation, I’d say, should be expected. Others on the show could support this desire. Know what I mean?" Johansson said.

She didn't reveal any details on how she will do the payback against Che, whether it's during the opening monologue or show up on Weekend Update.

Scarlett Johansson's Past Reaction to Michael Che's Vulgar Joke

In a past interview, Johansson opened up about her reaction when she heard her Jost read a joke about her during the Weekend Update segment last December.

To recap, here's the joke that Jost said as written by Che: "Costco has removed the roast beef sandwich from their menu. But I ain’t tripping. I’ve been eating roast beef every night since my wife had the kid."

The joke was met with gasps by the studio audience. Then, the camera cut to Johansson's live reaction, where she looked very shocked at the punchline.

"It was so vulgar. I just can't believe that they went there. I was like—it was so gross. It was really gross. And, like, old-school gross," Johansson said in the interview.

The actress noted that she was given a heads-up before the segment that Che wrote a "vagina joke" about her.

"My experience of it was so funny. I was like, 'I mean, it's a vagina joke, how bad could it be?' And then as soon as the Costco photo came up, I was like 'No! No, Michael!'" she said.
