I think we can all agree that Elizabeth Olsen has enjoyed a great deal of success playing Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but over the last couple of years, some fans have begun launching campaigns online calling for her to be ousted from the billion-dollar franchise.
Reasons vary, from the character, who's traditionally Romani in the comics being "whitewashed" to the actress allegedly saying racial slurs in past interviews. Unsurprisingly, the movement has gained traction on social media, and the "anti"-Olsen fans believe that it's time for her to step away from the role completely in exchange for comic accuracy and cultural appropriateness.
Most of you are probably only hearing her name now but Romanian actress Gratiela Brancusi is a top pick amongst fans to become the MCU's Wanda Maximoff. In fact, several artworks have been circulating on social media for months now, depicting her as the Harbinger of Chaos. Some fans even went out of their way to create deepfake videos of her just to prove their point.
Turns out that the 33-year-old actress is well aware of the fan movement urging Marvel Studios to cast her as Wanda in the MCU. Responding to a fan art showing side-by-side images of her and Olsen as Wanda, Brancusi simply responded: "love is the only way". I guess it's safe to say that she doesn't want fans pitting them against each other.

I mean, with the whole multiverse concept being utilized for the next two phases of the MCU, it would be a good opportunity for Marvel Studios to play with some of their characters just for the sake of it. I gotta say though, Olsen's critics will have to deal with the fact that she's the franchise's main Wanda and no amount of whining online will change that.
