Scalpers Have Started Reselling Avengers: Endgame Tickets At Ridiculous Prices

The excitement is on a high as Avengers: Endgame tickets became officially available for pre-sales. Sites are crashing as what we imagine are hundreds of thousands of excited fans attempt to secure a seat for opening night. Unfortunately, this has also attracted scalpers, who are reselling tickets for a massive profit.

eBay listings for Avengers: Endgame tickets have started popping up, where they are being sold for up to 10 times the price.

One seller offers a single ticket for $125. They're kind enough to give you a discount if you buy two tickets--you will only pay $200 instead of $50. The bidding for the tickets start at $50 in most listings, but if you want to eliminate the competition in the bidding, you'll be asked to pay up to five times more. Some are selling in bulk, such as five tickets for $750.

One of the more ridiculous scalper moves we've seen so far is also from a seller who priced an Avengers: Endgame IMAX ticket for a whopping $500. The person even gives you the option to pay it off monthly for a year, which goes to show how bad it has become.

While this was inevitable considering the hype around Avengers: Endgame and the dangers of spoilers all around, it is still horrible to see this in action. Actual fans are having a hard time securing a ticket for a movie they genuinely want to see while scalpers who have no interest in the film hijacked the pre-sales to make easy money.

Indeed, opening night tickets will be highly coveted. Many people would want to be first to watch the highly-anticipated capper to the story of the Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes we've followed for a decade.

While it does seem like it will be very difficult to find a good seat and be among the first people to experience Avengers: Endgame, there are actually some low-traffic places where you can walk right into the theater and buy a ticket with no problem.

At least, this was the case when Avengers: Infinity War came out. Endgame is on a whole another level. It is regarded as the bigger movie anyway so there is going to be greater interest.

Avengers: Endgame hits the cinemas April 26.
