Sandra Bullock Endorses Daniel Radcliffe as the New MCU Wolverine: 'Just F***ing Cast Him'

It's no news that Marvel is currently crafting a new lineup of massive franchises like Fantastic Four and X-Men, which brings a tremendous opportunity to cast renowned actors in superhero roles. One such role is the Wolverine, which is one of the most challenging to recast after former Wolverine star Hugh Jackman set a gold standard for the mutant hero.

Despite Jackman's portrayal of the Wolverine as a Beast with a very short temper, in Marvel Comics, Wolverine is pictured as a short and stocky individual with a no-nonsense attitude. And now that Jackman officially stepped off the Wolverine role, countless names have been thrown to take on the X-Men classic hero, including Kingsman star Taron Egerton and Harry Potter's Daniel Radcliffe.

It's also a no-brainer that Wolverine will debut some time in the MCU now that Marvel owns the right with X-Men, if not in the highly-anticipated Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, we can anticipate the X-Men character in the next upcoming projects. Now, casting rumors are swirling around that Daniel Radcliffe will indeed play the MCU's new Wolverine, and according to one Hollywood legend, Radcliffe is perfect for the role.

Sandra Bullock and Daniel Radcliffe sat down with It's Gone Viral to promote their latest film, The Lost City. When the Harry Potter star was asked about his thoughts on the Wolverine casting rumors surrounding him, Bullock showed full support for her co-actor.

Interviewer: "I mean, Dan it must have been weird waking up to find you were cast as Wolverine."

Radcliffe: "Mate that's been happening to me semi-annually for the last three years."

Bullock: "Why don't you just do it?"

Radcliffe: "Because no one's asking me in reality Sandra. It's just like Twitter speculation."

Bullock: "Wolverine people, can you please just f***ing cast him. Just do it. Stop tiptoeing around and having people ask at press junkets. Just cast the man.

As much as we want to see Daniel Radcliffe take on the Wolverine claws in the MCU, it's not the first time that the actor debunked these rumors. In a recent interview with Comicbook.com, when asked about the Wolverine rumors, Radcliffe assured, "So many times, people come to me like, 'hey man, heard the Wolverine news, that's pretty cool.' No, I don't know anything about it. Like, I appreciate that somebody is clearly going like 'Wolverine's actually short in the comic books, you should get like a short guy to do it!'" However, Radcliffe is still a controversial choice for MCU fans due to his short stature, Wolverine-esque facial hair, and his acting range.

If ever Daniel Radcliffe won't make it to the Wolverine casting, the MCU could certainly arrange the actor in several Marvel roles that he is more suited for, like Cyclops, Gambit, or Angel.

For now, we can catch Daniel Radcliffe and Sandra Bullock's latest comedy flick, The Lost City, now showing in theaters worldwide.
