The anime adaptation of Yuto Suzuki’s hit action and comedy manga series, Sakamoto Days, has been announced with a January 2025 release window.
The hype around the Sakamoto Days anime adaptation started following an interview with Netflix Vice President Josh Simon.
In the said interview, Sakamoto Days was included as one of the projects among “Netflix Upcoming Releases” in 2024, resulting in fan speculation that the hit manga will be animated this year.
However, it was revealed in a Jump Press video on TMS Entertainment’s official YouTube channel that the upcoming Sakamoto Days anime series will arrive sometime in January 2025 as part of the winter 2025 season.

Sakamoto Days Exact Release Date Predictions
As of writing, there is no definite release date set for the Sakamoto Days anime, but we believe it will likely be released in the first or second week of January 2025, as most anime series with a huge following.
The first episode of Sakamoto Days will likely premiere on a weekend between January 4 and 5, 2025, to kick off the New Year, unless there are special programs that Japanese television must air.
If this is not the case, we expect the pilot episode of Sakamoto Days to possibly air in the second week of January 2025, most likely on the weekend between January 11 and 12, 2025.
