As an actress, the 23-year-old made her TV debut in the crime drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. From there, she had a recurring role on Fox's The Goodwin Games and finally made her breakthrough in Girl Meets World.

She then did the TV movie Adventures in Babysitting, followed by several feature films, like Horns, The Hate U Give, The Short History of the Long Road, Clouds, and Emergency. She also had three Netflix movies, Tall Girl, its sequel Tall Girl 2, and Work It.

Music-wise, Carpenter debuted her music single "Can't Blame a Girl for Trying" and an EP of the same in 2014.

Sabrina Carpenter Cancels Portland Concert Due to Bomb Scare

Carpenter had no choice but to cancel her concert in Portland, Oregon, at the last minute due to a bomb scare.

Her supposed-to-be performance at Keller Auditorium on Monday, April 10, was called off just before she stepped on the stage. She then updated her fans about the cancellation on Twitter.

"I can't tell you how much it breaks my heart, this is the last thing I wanted to do but due to unforeseen circumstances we will not be able to perform tonight," she tweeted.

"You will be refunded – refunds will come at point of purchase and we are doing our best to reschedule at a later date," she continued. "The venue is closing for the evening, please take care of yourselves and return home safely."

Fans posted on social media that the concert was canceled at around 10 p.m. after the opening act, Spill Tab, performed.

"Employees with the Crystal Ballroom called 911 after receiving an anonymous phone call from an individual claiming they were going to blow up the venue," Portland Police Bureau Lieutenant Nathan Sheppard told People. "We contacted both venues and also conducted extra patrols around the Ballroom due to the threat."

Carpenter was originally meant to perform at the Crystal Ballroom but had moved venues to accommodate a larger crowd.

Promoter AEG Presents told Rolling Stone the bomb scare was a "credible security threat," resulting in the event's cancellation "out of an abundance of caution."

Carpenter is on a national tour for her album, Emails I Can't Send.
