Sabikui Bisco Episode 9 Review
Sabikui Bisco episode 9 starts with Milo dreaming about a peaceful life with Bisco and the others before waking up in a cave with Bisco tending to his injuries.
While Bisco soothes Milo’s worries, promising to stay with him, he soon leaves to confront Kurokawa once Milo falls to sleep.
Kurokawa reveals to old Jabi that he is artificially creating the Rust Wind from a pool of liquid rust (that also happens to look like an evil villain’s lair). When Kurokawa threatens to kill Jabi if he doesn’t join his mission to recruit Mushroom Keepers, one of the bunny guards turns on the villain before revealing themselves to be Bisco in disguise!
A big battle ensues, and when it looks like Kurokawa might win, Milo appears to give Bisco a vital opening. Bisco pushes Kurokawa into the pool of rust, landing on top of the villain as he melts away.
In a touching final moment, Bisco asks Milo to shoot him so he doesn’t suffer a painful death in the rust. After they promise to meet again in the afterlife, Milo obliges.
Right at the end of the episode, Milo quietly proclaims his love for Bisco.
While the last few episodes of Sabikui Bisco have raised the drama, episode 9 was the most powerful one yet, with cool fight scenes and plenty of touching moments.
Is Bisco Dead?
Bisco does die in episode 9 of Sabikui Bisco. However, it’s certainly not the last of him in the show.
Bisco returns later in the series in a new form. The upcoming episode 11 is titled “I'm Bisco”, which might indicate when we can expect him to return.

How Does Bisco Come Back Alive?
The details on how Bisco Akaboshi comes back alive are quite sketchy, given the small audience that had read the Sabikui Bisco light novels before the anime aired. However, it appears that Bisco comes back alive as some kind of immortal Mushroom Keeper deity with special Rust Eater powers.
Now, that might sound a little far-fetched. However, given what the characters have gone through so far, how Milo uncovered the Rust Eater’s secrets and Bisco’s obvious ‘hero’ status, such a remarkable comeback might be fitting for such an exuberant and over the top series.
Such a return would also set up the end of the anime perfectly, with the giant Tetsujin coming up against a super Akaboshi!
No matter what happens next, you can look forward to the upcoming episodes of Sabikui Bisco knowing that everyone’s favourite lead character isn’t quite out of the game just yet!
