Ryan Reynolds Revealed An Old Plot for Deadpool 3 Was Supposed to Be a Team-Up With Wolverine

Ryan Reynolds shared yet another tweet that blew the mind of many fans as he dropped the mic real quick as regards what could have been an epic clash between Deadpool and Wolverine in Deadpool 3 had it pushed through.

In a recent tweet of Ryan Reynolds, Reynolds talked about the importance of honest, open, and healthy discussions to the mental health and without pulling any brakes, he dropped the load saying that before Disney too over Fox, Deadpool 3 was in the works for a Rashomon-style face-off between Deadpool and Wolverine.

It could have been a massive awesome film to have Deadpool and Wolverine face each other again and give them a better fight than that of their X-Men Origins: Wolverine scene which doesn't really give justice to both of the amazing characters of X-Men.

And a Rashomon-style story? That could have been jaw dropping. For those unfamiliar with it, it is a style of storytelling where the story circles around the same event and shown in the perspective of various characters who encountered the scene.

The stories of the characters vary depending on their perspective of the event and it could differ in irreconcilable ways as people have different views of the same happening. This means that when on one character, it is a positive event, for the others it can be the polar opposite, then for another one could be neutral as well.

That film could have been a major turn in the relationship of Deadpool and Wolverine who are both amazing in their own skins.

Now that it is reported that Reynolds has been working with Marvel Studios for Deadpool 3, this could-have-been storyline would not be what it is as Reynolds nor the team working on the third Deadpool film wouldn't disclose any information as to the arc of the story.

Still, with Reynolds suiting up again as Deadpool, it would be one helluva film and something that the fans will surely love. Deadpool 3 is expected to be released in 2023.
